I.      THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

A.      THE NATURE OF THE KINGDOM.

          1.       "Not of this world'( John 18:36;  Luke 17:20-21;  Rom. 14:17 ).

          2.       Characterized by Righteousness( Heb. 1:8 ).

          3.       Eternal( Heb. 1:8;  12:28 ).

B.      WHEN DID THE KINGDOM COME?

          1.       Some say the kingdom has not come yet.

          2.       Mark 9:1.

                   a.       Many would see it come.

                   b.       With Power.

          3.       Acts 1:6-8.  The question.

                   a.       Power - Holy Spirit.

                   b.       Witnesses.

          4.       Acts 2:1-4, 32.

II.     THE NAME OF CHRIST.

A.      NEW NAME.

          1.       Isa. 62:1-4.

          2.       New relationship( Isa. 59:1-2;  2 Cor. 5:20 ).

B.      CARRY IT FURTHER - WHAT DOES IT MEAN?( Acts 9:15 ).

          1.       Salvation( Acts 4:12;  22:16;  Rom. 10:13 ).

          2.       Authority( Col. 3:17 ).

                   a.       Must be in harmony( 2 John 9 ).

                   b.       Obligations( Acts 2:38 ).

                   c.       Submission and Glory( Phil. 2:9-11 ).

          3.       We glory in what it represents( 1 Pet. 4:16 ).

III.    THE RESULT OF PREACHING CHRIST?

A.      BY PETER( Acts 2:41 ).

          1.       They received his word.

          2.       They were baptized.

B.      BY PHILIP?( Acts 8:12 ).

          1.       They believed Philip.

          2.       They were baptized.
