A.      THINK OF THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THIS.  WHEN THE PRESIDENT OR           SOME MOVIE STAR SPEAKS, ALL LISTENGOD IS GREATER.

B.      HE IS OUR CREATOR - HE KNOWS EVEN OUR HEARTS - OUR JUDGE.

WHAT HE SAYS IS ABOUT US AND OUR DESTINY.

C.      CAN WE AFFORD NOT TO LISTEN?( Matt. 10:28;  Heb. 10:31 ).

D.      HIS WORD IS TRUTH( John 17:17 ).

E.      YET MANY DON'T LISTEN( Matt. 13:14-15 ).

F.      WHAT IF GOD HAD NOT SPOKEN.

          1.       Man would be blind( Jer. 10:23 ).

C.      JESUS SPEAKS THRU THE HOLY SPIRIT( John 16:13;  14:26 ).

D.      THE HOLY SPIRIT THRU THE APOSTLES( Eph. 3:5 ).

E.      THE APOSTLES SPOKE( 1 Cor. 2:13 ) AND WROTE( Eph. 3:3-4 ).

F.      THEIR TEACHING CONSTITUTES LAW( Luke 10:16;  John 12:48 ).

G.      THE REVELATION IS COMPLETE!

          1.       We have all things in the Scriptures( 1 Pet. 1:3;  2 Tim. 3:16-17 ).

          2.       "Once for all..."( Jude 3;  Heb. 7:26-27;  10:10, 12, 14 ).

          3.       Latter day revelations are false( Gal. 1:8-9 ).

III.    SINCE GOD HAS SPOKEN, WE NEED TO STUDY.

A.      TO GUARD AGAINST ERROR( Acts 17:11;  1 John 4:1, 6 ).

B.      TO FASHION AN ACCEPTABLE LIFE( Rom. 12:1-2;  Titus 2:11-12 ).

C.      TO BE ABLE TO TELL OTHERS( 1 Pet. 3:15 ).

D.      FOR OUR OWN SALVATION.

          1.       It is God's Power( Rom. 1:16-17;  Jas. 1:21 ).

2        .It will judge us( John 12:48;  Heb. 4:12 ).

          3.       Always right( John 17:17 ).

A.      WHAT IS YOUR ATTITUDE?  ARE YOU LISTENING?
