I.     BEFORE I CAN DEAL WITH SIN MY BROTHER'S LIFE, I

MUST DEAL WITH SIN IN MY OWN LIFE( Mat. 7:1-5 ).

E.      A MAN WHO CONDEMNS SIN IS HIS BROTHER WHEN HE REFUSES TO DO HIS

          BEST IS A HYPOCRITE.

II.    LOVE FOR OUR BROTHER WILL MOVE US TO WARN

      HIM OF HIS SIN, ALSO.

A.      OUR OBJECTIVE.

          1.       What it is( 2 Tim. 2:24-26;  James 5:19-20 ).

          2.       What it is not( James 4:11-12 ).

          3.       This will effect our attitude toward such!

B.      Gal. 6;1-2.

          2.       "Ye who are spiritual."  Spiritually minded, not perfect or old timers.

          3.       "Restore."  Our prime objective.

          4.       "A spirit of gentleness."  In keeping with our objective.

          5.       "Looking to thyself lest thou also be tempted."

C.      Matt. 18:15-17.

          1.       You take the initiative, no matter who does what( Matt. 5:23-25 ).

          2.       Sometimes the help of one or two brothers is helpful and needed.

          3.       Too many go thru the formality of speaking to their brother with no

                   intention of being reconciled.

          4.       This is sharply contrasted with the attitude of some( Rom. 12:17-21 ).

D.      Heb. 12:12-13.

          1.       "Take heed!"  Be watchful.

          2.       "Lest there be in any one of you." Buddy system.

          4.       What do we do when we see sin our brother?

                   ( Rom. 1:28-32Gal. 5:13-15James 3:7-10 ).

          5.       What ought we to do?( Heb. 3:13 ).  "Exhort one another."

          6.       This is important - "Last anyone of you become hardened!" ( Heb. 6:4-6 ).

III.   WHEN OUR BROTHER DOES RIGHT?

      ( 2 John 43 John 3-4 ).
